What’s New In python-apt 1.4

This release is built against APT 1.4, see What’s New In python-apt 1.1 for the other changes since 1.0, the last series with a feature-complete release. There are no 1.2 or 1.3 series.

Added

• The methods apt_pkg.parse_depends() and apt_pkg.parse_src_depends() gained a new parameter architecture to change the architecture the dependency lines are interpreted for, matching the change in apt 1.4~beta3.

  This only really makes sense for the latter option right now, as it only affects the parsing of architecture lists.

  By default, the host architecture is used.
