Stringcolumn

The stringcolumn(x) function may be used only in the using specification of a data plot or fit command. It returns the content of column x as a string. strcol(x) is shorthand for stringcolumn(x). If the string is to be interpreted as a time or date, use instead timecolumn(x, "timeformat"). See plot datafile using (p. ).
