Class DERT61String

    DER T61String (also the teletex string), try not to use this if you don't need to. The standard support the encoding for this has been withdrawn.

        string - the string to be wrapped.

      • getInstance

        Return a T61 string from the passed in object.
        Parameters:
        obj - a DERT61String or an object that can be converted into one.
        Returns:
        a DERT61String instance, or null
        Throws:
        java.lang.IllegalArgumentException - if the object cannot be converted.
      • getInstance

        public static DERT61String getInstance​(ASN1TaggedObject obj,
                                               boolean explicit)
        Return an T61 String from a tagged object.
        Parameters:
        obj - the tagged object holding the object we want
        explicit - true if the object is meant to be explicitly tagged false otherwise.
        Returns:
        a DERT61String instance, or null
        Throws:
        java.lang.IllegalArgumentException - if the tagged object cannot be converted.

        Decode the encoded string and return it, 8 bit encoding assumed.
